Adventures

Ben & I have decided that we need to take advantage of where we are at right in this very moment.
I've gone over how hard military life is, but now I want to talk about the good in it!
We have decided to become tourists in this temporary home town & kick started our adventures today with a wild trip into the wilderness.
Although my feet have been aching for hours, pain will fade & I'll have the memories we made for a lifetime.

I have the best adventure buddy!

Firmly in this moment...

We found a Cyclops!

I had the BEST time! I probably told Ben how much fun I was having about 50 times. Not kidding.
I absolutely love being in nature. Seeing the trees and water makes me happy! {Typical Arizona girl}
We got a little lost… except not really, it was just taking a loooooong time to get back! But Ben kept reminding me that I had chosen that particular path so my achey feet were all my fault. Booo.
It started getting dark and there was no one around us.. lost in the woods. Horror movie much?
Then we found this grave and I was totally freaking out. Ben read me all about the man who was buried here {who's name I won't try to butcher by spelling out for all of you} and I wasn't quite so scared anymore. My hero! (;

Dated in the mid 1800's.
The greatest part about the trip was that it took us less than 5 minutes to get back to our house.
I know I talk bad about California, but the diversity is amazing! Working on my New Year's resolution to find the positive in all things!
It was a magical day being tourists in our hometown. (:

love,
your san diego explorers
