Aloha Diploma + Mother's Day

Aloha!
I threw myself a little graduation celebration & I really don't think you can get better than a luau when it comes to party planning.
Pink, pineapples, & the pool? That's a winning combination.

Of course I was inspired by Pinterest for all the details.
Everything came together perfectly, the food was amazing, & we had the best time!
The pineapple flower cupcakes were my favorite part of the food spread & I could have carried that pineapple flower arrangement with me everywhere I went! I loved the feel that the paper flower wall gave to the atmosphere, but I will most definitely NEVER be making one of those again. I used this template to create my vision & although the look was perfect for the party, it was a huge hassle. All that aside, this party really did make me fall in love with party planning. I just might have to plan a shin-dig for Father's Day/Leaving the Marine Corps party for Ben! Caisley isn't even six months old yet and I'm already planning her first birthday. Oops!

For now I'll just be wishing I had some of those cupcakes again!

The next day, we spent the day eating sorbet out of fruit rinds and relaxing by the pool for Mother's Day. Caisley's gift to me was a nice two hour nap. Thanks baby girl! It was so fun to have Ben in town for the party & the holiday! I can't wait until he's here for good so that all of our weekends can look like this.
