Four Months with Caisley

Hi everyone! We've had a big month! Caisley has officially made her first move. She's no longer a California resident! The Friday before last, we made the drive from San Diego to Arizona. It was nothing short of a nightmare. Ben and I loaded his car onto the trailer in pouring rain. Then we got to drive in that El Niño storm for 2 hours. It was foggy and hard to see anything! Couple that with a baby who hates her car seat and you've got yourself a headache. I was thankful to have my mom to help take turns with driving and entertaining Caisley. Once the rain stopped we drove through a dust storm in the Imperial dunes that was so intense we couldn't see the road in front of us and had to go about 20mph. Thankfully, the girl had finally fallen asleep by then. We made it safe and sound around 1am.

She's changed SO much over this past month & I can already see her developing even more just in the 3 days that have passed since she turned 4 months old. We're so excited to celebrate Easter. Every holiday just gets more exciting because she's bigger and is more interested in what's going on. I can't wait for all the others to come this year!

Her Easter basket is all put together and we're excited to follow this Easter Egg tutorial next Sunday!

Since we've been in AZ, this magical thing has happened where she takes naps by herself. AND she goes to bed around 7pm. She's so good about it. I had to go and buy a baby monitor though because I was constantly checking on her. The idea of leaving your baby in another room is a foreign concept to me! However, I am very much enjoying the moments I get to myself. It's necessary for my sanity.

Things I don't want to forget:
- How you twist your hands all up in my hair when you want to fall asleep
- How you blow raspberries!
- How you open your mouth as wide as you can when you smile your happiest smile

We are missing Daddy for sure! He still has three months left in the Marine Corps.
We'll see him when he comes to visit for my graduation in May, but we are thrilled to get him all to ourselves this June!!

This girl! She has my heart, I tell ya!

Here's a few photos from 3-4 months!

We went on a hike up to Potato Chip Rock (which we did't get a picture on because there was literally a mile long line). As we were walking back down another hiker told us we were her future family goals. Which totally made my day!

Bucklee missed the family photo op.

Lunch with a view!

The first time she held her toy like she meant it!

First time in the ocean!

Those lashes are everything!

This face cracks me up!
She was cranky but she sure looked cute doing it.
