It's a.....

SWEET BABY GIRL

  Of course we got fro-yo to celebrate. Ben also got beer but I think it was well earned after finding out you're going to be the Dad to a baby girl when you come from a family of all boys!

That's right, baby D is a she! I am so excited to have a little girl.

Ben was totally in denial and shock when we found out.

The first day we went in to find out the gender, the tech had a hard time getting a great shot. She said "I feel confident telling you that it's a girl, but I'm gonna let you come back to get a better photo." Ben proceeded to tell everyone that she had said she wasn't confident. I think that was him still hoping for a boy. He got on board pretty quick though and before our next appointment, out of the blue, he asked "If it's a girl, what about the name _____?" He didn't even mention a boy name, which made me feel like he was finally at peace with the fact that he'd be having a daughter. 

Oh yeah, we're keeping her name under wraps until she makes her arrival. 

When we went back in the second time we got a great shot. The technician said "You're definitely having a girl," and I screamed "YAY!" I couldn't even hold it in. 

Having a daughter is one of the most exciting and terrifying things ever. 

I think we're all aware that girls can be quite a handful. Especially if she turns out to be anything like her Mama!

For now I just get to soak in all her sweetness & appreciate this journey of being everything that she needs.

I can definitely see a noticeable difference in size.

I don't think I'll be able to tame the bump for much longer. 

I forgot to share the "present" I made for Ben the day I confirmed the pregnancy. 

Because I think every Dad should be able to crack a cold one while swallowing the news that he's going to be a Daddy. 

 I think I'm most excited to see him wrapped around her little finger,

but I also really can't wait to smooch her!
