Christmas in Weeping Water, NE

I know that this post is INCREDIBLY late. However, I just found the memory card that had all my pictures from my first Christmas with Ben.
He hadn't seen his family in a year and since I had never met them we figured Christmas time would be the perfect time! Being from Arizona, I'm totally not accustomed to snow (or really anything below 45˚) so this was a SUPER exciting time for me. I think everyone got sick of how many pictures I took. (: Looking back though, I realized I took a gazillion pictures of the scenery and almost NONE of actual people. I will definitely have to remember this on our next trip out there. Here are just a few of my favorite shots!

The town of Weeping Water literally looks like it's straight out of a movie. There's not a single stoplight in it and everyone knows everyone. I was totally in love with it. The fact that it was the middle of winter made it seem even more magical.

These are just a few of the beautiful sites I captured from our trip. I was completely in awe the whole two weeks we were there.
I loved that there was a church on almost every corner. I have probably 10 more pictures of just those that I could share.

My handsome man (:

Eeek! I was totally excited and scared out of my mind to be standing on a frozen lake for the first time!

Not only was I in love with this town, but I also met the most caring, sweet, and loving family that I can't wait to call mine someday.

Mark, Vicki, Andrew, Jon, and Luc thank you so much for making me feel like I was home for the holidays.
