Take It All In

I've really been trying to enjoy the moments that have been going on in my life.
I recently had a conversation about taking the time to be IN the moment rather than trying to CAPTURE the moment. It's not something that we are used to these days when every second is consumed by trying to take a photo for Instagram or Facebook and create these happy, "picture perfect" lives.  Am I guilty? You bet. Probably one of THE guiltiest.
We talk about, take pictures of, and share the things that we are proud of, the things that make us happy. I don't think there is anything wrong with that.
The issue starts when we take time away from those moments just to make sure that everyone else can see it too. No one else is going to care about your life the way you do.
And this is coming from someone who internet stalks on a regular basis.
No. I'm not swearing off all social media. But I'm going to make sure that before I upload a picture, I'm going to take just a few more moments to really take it all in.
Try it!

That being said, I've been MIA here for quite a while.
But that's what happens when you have two jobs, go to school full time, run a household (the dishes and the laundry are piled high, so what?), and try to sleep... there may or may not be some Netflix thrown in there.

Here are some snapshots of my fully appreciated moments over the last 5 months.

Sister from another Mr.

My Birthday Buddy!
Pitaya will change your life.
Vegan for a day. Of course I got cookies.

There was the time I turned 21.

Happy faces!

Charming Charlie's helped me out with a temporary wedding band.

This sign is up on the hill where Ben works. It basically says you shouldn't be up there without protective gear because the radiation is so bad. Guess how much protective gear he gets.....

Good Afternoon, Sunshine!

Another new vehicle?! Yes. But now we only have two so it's kind of like we're normal now.

I just want all my invitations back so I can stare at them for days.

So glad you're my sister!

SHEREADSTRUTH is a an amazing app full of inspiring words & pretty pictures.

Sunday selfie.

No post would be complete without a chocolate strawberry macaroon would it?
I don't think so.
